Adrenal fatigue is a serious problem that thousands and thousands the world over suffer from. The condition is somewhat vague and can be attributed to a number of different causes, but the overall impact is devastating regardless the cause. Those suffering from fatigue problems often find themselves sitting on the sidelines of life, unable to perform, think clearly or simply get a job done. For those with adrenal fatigue, there may seem like there's no hope, but there is. When persistence is put into a diagnosis of the cause, the condition can often be cured or at least abated. Adrenal fatigue can be both a symptom of another disease or the cause, which is more commonly called sub-clinical hypoadrenia. Unfortunately, the symptoms of true adrenal fatigue and many other conditions are very similar. To diagnosis fatigue often requires times and patience, but the symptoms are the key in determining the real problem. They include: * Extreme fatigue and exhaustion even when no activity has taken place * Waking up with a feeling of not having even slept though a full eight hours may have passed * Feeling overwhelmed and tired out all of the time regardless of the amount of sleep or lack of activity * Inability to handle stress. The person tends to fly off the handle rather easily * Cravings for salty or sweet foods that are hard to deny * Energy spurts in the evening, often very late at night * Difficulty recovering from periods of exercise * Digestion problems, which may include gas, cramps and so on * High recovery time from even the most simple of illnesses and injury * Trouble concentrating. People with adrenal fatigue often say they feel as though they are living in a fog * Ineffective immune system. A person with adrenal fatigue will catch just about everything that comes down the pike As evidenced by some of the basic symptoms, adrenal fatigue can easily be connected to a number of different conditions, such as diabetes, immune-related diseases and more. Considering this, it is often very difficult to diagnose and treat. However, if persistence is present on the part of the doctor and the patient, a path to getting over the problem might be paved. In true adrenal fatigue, a person's adrenal glands, the ones that release the hormones necessary for a number of body functions including blood sugar regulation, basically are tired out and they don't work properly. This essentially puts the body in a state of minor chaos and can result in some serious, life-altering symptoms. Anyone who fears they may be suffering from adrenal fatigue should seek medical advice. Finding an answer may take some time, but it's key to helping a person get over the hurdles this condition, or the others similar to it, can present. There's no reason for a person to spend their life going around as if in a haze when there are ways to combat the issue. Copyright (c) 2006
